The warning by the leadership of the anti-corruption agencies in Nigeria, the EFCC and ICPC, that this year, 2013, will not be business as usual is not a hoax, after all.
Multiple sources have confirmed to Olufamous.com that the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested the immediate past Governor of the Central bank of Nigeria, Charles Soludo.
He was arrested in connection with the Australian polymer banknotes bribery scam.
As at the time of reporting, Soludo was being interrogated by anti-corruption investigators at the Abuja office of the commission with regards to his role in the bribery of CBN officials by an Australian currency mint company, Securency.
It was also gathered that several other top former and serving CBN officials have also been apprehended for questioning on the alleged corrupt deal.
