Shocker: Christopher Kolade, SURE-P Chairman, Resigns!

Street Journal’s findings have revealed that Dr. Christopher Kolade, the Chairman of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment  Programme (SURE-P) has resigned his appointment as the Chairman of the body.

Kolade, 80, is a respected administrator and diplomat. He was Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. Street Journal gathered that his resignation letter was turned in to the President on Monday.

Though details are still sketchy, but feelers have it that the Erin Oke, Osun State born veteran broadcaster is concerned mainly about his integrity which has remained intact over the decades. Kolade is known for uprightness and integrity everywhere he has worked including the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation where he retired at the age of 45 about four and a half decades ago and Cadbury Nigeria Plc, a company he joined as Administration Director and rose to become the Managing Director and Chairman. He was appointed as the Chairman of SURE-P in January 2012 after the partial removal of the subsidy on petroleum by the Federal Government.
