INCREDIBLE! General Overseer Arrested For Armed Robbery

We live in strange times, so we must not be too discouraged when things like this one occur. Rather, they should make us stronger and learn to carry ourselves in such a way that we wont be deceived by man.

Below is the story of a General Overseer who's working with armed robbers:

The Pastor and the General Overseer of The Way of Joy Church, Ibikunle Olanrewaju John, was one of the seven suspects paraded on Tuesday by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Umaru Manko, over the March 13, 2013 robbery attack at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, MMIA, in which two policemen were killed.

The same gang of armed robbers was responsible for the February 10, 2012 attack at the airport where about N600 million was carted away. Pastor Ibikunle was paraded alongside six others - Atoba Adeniyi, Ibrahim Abdullahi, Kazeem Aderibigbe, Saheed Adekunle, Christian Joshua and Saheed Okunlo.

Olufamous.com gathered that the Pastor normally provides spiritual sacrifices for the robbers and help in keeping their weapons, ammunition and also drive their vehicles. He was also alleged to have driven the suspects to MMIA during their last operation.

Briefing journalists on how the suspects were apprehended, the commissioner of police said following the attack in which two police officers were killed and several innocent others were injured, police officers attached to the special anti-robbery squad swung into action by following up on a document obtained from one of the robbers, Teslim Okunola, who was shot dead by the deceased police officers.

The CP added that, “But before he was killed, one of the policemen fought gallantly, killing one of the robbers. He also made sure that other members of the robbery gang were not able to take his corpse away. It was that corpse that led to the arrest of the gang."

While answering questions from journalists, Pastor Ibikunle confessed to knowing that they were armed robbers. He also said he normally prepare the suspects for oath taking. He said he was given N500,000 for his effort in the MMIA robbery.

Hear him: “Yes. I am the one that administered an oath on them the day they went to work. I waited for them in the bush until they came back. In the bush located in Ijebu-Ode, there is a hut where one can even sleep if one wishes. But no one person can come there, except he is a member of the gang.

Asked to describe how the oath was administered, he replied: “You won’t understand because it is a spiritual thing, as incantation was said into a horn.”

Also asked if he owned a church of his own, he replied: “Yes. I am the general overseer. It started as a Spiritual Healing Church where God used me to heal people with diverse strange illnesses.”

Also asked why he ventured into heinous crime, if he was a genuine man of God, he shook his head in regret and said, “ I was introduced into it by Asiwaju. I did not know he was a robber then. But when I did, I tried to withdraw from him. But it was too late. He introduced me to other members of his gang.”
