Youtube strips 2billion fake video views from Rihanna, Justin Bieber and others

Some of these pop stars are artificial inflating their video views on Youtube to make themselves appear more popular online. Youtube chiefs recently stripped 2 billion views from pop videos on its site amid fears the figures were faked.

Rihanna, Justin Bieber and other music stars under Universal Music label lost 1 billion views.
Rita Ora, Alicia Keys, Labrinth and other music stars under Sony Music label lost 850 million views.
Michael Jackson's feed lost 287 million views, while Beyonce lost 151 million views

Youtube stripped the views without suggesting the music stars or their labels were directly involved in artificially inflating them. Some fans who are hackers could have inflated them, or maybe the labels paid the 'hackers' to take up the numbers. Depends on what you chose to believe :-)

Titanic Star, Kate, Marries Third Husband in 10yrs

Now you know where some Naija celebs are copying their divorce act from:
37-year-old actress and Titanic star, Kate Winslet, has tied the knot for the third time in about a space of 10 years, this time with popular businessman, Ned Rocknroll.
According to reports, the wedding held secretly in a converted barn with less than 15 people in attendance, excluding the couple’s parents. Kate, it was gathered, was led by her long term friend, Leonardo Di Caprio to meet her husband, instead of her parents.

This is not the first time the actress is getting married secretly.
She did same with American beauty director, Sam Mendes, who she wedded in 2003 after her fall out with movie director, Jim Threapleton in 2001.

Generator maintenance in budget 2013

A Diesel Generator Set
The federal budget is usually suffused with requests by the Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government for the purchase, maintenance and fuelling of plants and generators. This has become the proverbial tortoise that cannot elude a folk tale. The fact is that Nigeria lacks steady power supply and the MDAs therefore try to take undue advantage of this to make spurious provisions for this line item. In the 2013 budget, certain requests for generators, fuelling and maintenance need a thorough review so as not to waste public resources.
The wastages found on this item are categorised in three stages: Purchase of plants/generators; fuelling; and maintenance. On many occasions, separate huge amounts of public funds are allocated to these segments

Too many parties unwieldy for elections

INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega

Independent National Electoral Commission Commissioner in-charge of Election Monitoring, Mr. Ishmael Igbani, has said too many political parties are unwieldy for elections in a developing country like Nigeria.
Igbani, who said this in Abuja on Tuesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, noted that “for election purposes, Nigeria doesn’t need too many political parties”.
He added, “Even though having too many political parties is not a crime, all of them cannot be participating in one election.
“Looking at the ballot with over 65 candidates having their names on a ballot paper would be confusing to the electorate, and the worse scenario is when there is more than one election in a day, it becomes more confusing.’’
He advised politicians to come together and set criteria on how names would be placed on the ballot papers.
He said it was high time politicians stopped tying their existence to elections, advising them to focus on issues that would engender the nation’s socio-economic growth.
Igbani said, “The smaller parties instead of fighting for a place on the ballot papers can exploit various avenues with focus on different areas that include gender, environment, health, social issues and other areas of development.”
On deregistration of some political parties, he said the exercise was done in accordance with the law.
He explained that the Electoral Act 2010, as amended, declared that, “any political party which contests elections and does not win any electoral seat shall be deregistered”.
Igbani added, “Our constitution allows for a multi-party system, but INEC has the power to deregister parties and it has started and it is a continuous process as the commission will continue to deregister parties that do not meet requirements.’’

The needless cement war

Bags of cement
THE current mistrust existing among some cement producers and the reported glut in the cement market are as unnecessary as they are worrisome. Cement, a major item in the housing industry, accounts for about 40 per cent of the cost of housing. Being very critical in curbing the country’s housing deficit, the cement industry deserves urgent government and other stakeholders’ intervention.
The total supply of cement as of November this year, when compared to last year, was said to have increased by 11.4 per cent. The glut, according to the management of Dangote Cement Plc, was occasioned by the influx of imported cement into the market and the high volume of local production. The company said it recently closed its Gboko plant in Benue State as a result. As the Group Head, Corporate Communication of Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina, put it, “With the dumping of subsidised imported cement in the South-Eastern market, there is no way our Gboko Cement Plant can survive. In fact, members of staff have been put on forced leave pending when the situation improves.”

Fighting crime with technology

Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar
Crime has become very sophisticated in Nigeria and fighting it with traditional means appears not to be yielding the desired results.  Hardly a day passes without a criminal activity being reported in the newspapers.  Either a friend, a family or even you may have had bad experiences at some point with these men of the underworld.  How long shall we continue to live in fear of our lives being cut short by these criminals?  Your guess is as good as mine.  No place is safe anymore in Nigeria; not even our own little prison yards with high fences surrounding our homes and offices.
Fighting crime by merely just arresting anyone found at the crime scene is not enough, since in most cases, those who committed the crime may have left the scene long before the Police arrive – if they do at all.  This is not to say the police are not pulling their weights in some circumstances — considering their conditions of service and the poor equipment with which they work.  The celebrated case of Cynthia Osokogu reminds us of a breakthrough exhibited by the Nigeria Police Force.  We must say a big thank you for a job well done.  But there are scores of unsolved mysteries yet to be uncovered by the Police.

Senior Police Officer Arrested on Christmas Eve With Petroleum Products Thieves

A military Joint Task Force, Operation Pulo Shield 01, has uncovered an illegal oil depot in Calabar, Cross River State, where no less than 8,000 drums of fuel and diesel were stored.

The Public Relations Officer of the 13 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Capt. Joseph James, who stated this on Wednesday, said six persons, including an Assistant Superintendent of Police, have been arrested in connection with the illegal depot.

Conducting journalists around the depot, James said the place was uncovered on Christmas Eve following a tip off. He added that the raid was led by Major Abdulmaleek Mohammed, of the brigade.

He said, “We are still carrying out our investigation to unravel their possible connections and where they got the products from. We have picked up six men among whom is an Assistant Superintendent of Police, who are presently in the custody of the Military Police at the Brigade. We will soon hand them over to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.”

Meanwhile, the Task Force has burnt the products. Asked why the products were not handed over to the state government, James said the mandate of the JTF team was to destroy such items.

The police officer and others will be charged to court soon.

How A Medical Doctor Becomes Pipeline Vandal; Blames Poverty

Graduates in Nigeria are suffering and those who can't take it are resorting to crime:
“I spent eight years studying Medicine and Surgery in UNIJOS and graduated in 2004 and later served in Bauchi State. A year later, I got a job at Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission where I practised for six months. But I was later asked to leave.
“I moved to Kogi in 2006 and it was there that a friend introduced me to the business. I was making good money and later got a part time job at Federal Medical Centre. I received N90,000 as monthly salary which was not enough for me. So, I stuck to the pipeline business.”

Salifu Odiba, who was arrested in Kogi State by the Police Special Task Force on Anti-Pipeline Vandalism, Force Headquarters, said he was attracted to the illegal business because of hardship.

The medical doctor, who studied Medicine and Surgery at University of Jos, said his dream was to one day own his hospital. But two years after his graduation, the 35-year-old abandoned medicine and chose life on the fast lane by joining a pipeline vandalism cartel.

Describing his modus operandi, the Kogi State indigene said he acted as a middleman for the vandals and buyers. He said although he never destroyed a pipeline, he was actively involved in the business and soon became popular.

He said he was usually paid commission by pipeline vandals and buyers after he had sold the products.

“People started calling me ‘oil doctor’ because I always had ready buyers for all kinds of petroleum products. Oil business is very lucrative especially in Kogi State where as many as 17 trucks of petroleum products could be siphoned and sold in one night,” he said.

Odiba lamented that the medical profession was no longer as prestigious as it was due to the “large number” of people practising it. “People don’t visit hospitals like before. These days, many Nigerians prefer to take self medication,” he said.

Narrating how he was arrested, the suspect said he was contacted by a source at Lokoja, the state capital, who claimed to have large quantities of oil in a barge. He was on his way to finalise the deal when policemen arrested him.

Odiba, who vowed not to return to crime if released, burst into tears when narrating the hardship he had suffered in the past. He said although N90, 000 was not a poor salary, the pressures of having to take care of his siblings further increased his financial problems.

He said, “I have four siblings and my parents are retired. I am the first son and through this business, I have been able to sponsor two of my siblings through university and they have graduated. I don’t spend the money I make on myself. I have a fiancée but I can’t even afford a wedding now.

“I don’t want my siblings to suffer and I did this for them. Crime for me was due to a quest for survival but I promise never to go back to it. I spent last year’s Christmas in police custody after being arrested in Kaduna. This year again, I’m spending my Christmas in detention.

“I’m tired of this life of crime and I promise never to go back to it again. My dream is still to own a hospital and even while doing the oil business; I rendered free medical services to people.”

Odiba may be charged to court soon.

TOP YORUBA ACTOR, AJIGIJAGA, 50+ MARRIES 26 YR-OLD LADY

Muftua Adio a.k.a. Ajigijaga
When Muftua Adio a.k.a. Ajigijaga, a 53 year old actor send wedding invites to friends with the toast ‘Some say it’s too early, some say it’s too late. But to God Almighty this is the appointed time and it is marvelous in our sights’’ little the people know that he really meant business.

Why people were wondering about this holy union between the two is simply because the couple walking down the aisle -Taiwo Hassan (26) and Ajigijaga in his early 50s is many years in age apart. At the wedding that took place November 24, 2012 in Sango Ota, Lagos, people kept asking why the young girl should marry a man almost the age of her father. But beautiful Taiwo did not give a hoot about whatever any one says or thinks.

She was indifferent to the fact that her actor husband has children who are age mates. Speaking before and shortly after their celebrated marriage, Ajigijaja said,” The issue of age is nothing here. What we have in common and that is abounding is love. Though I have other children from my former wife whom I did not actually marry legally, my new wife means the whole world to me. This is my first time of getting married in life. I love her and she loves me, that is all that counts. It`s about love, not age.”

AT LAST: There Is A Simple Solution To Infertility

Have you been trying to conceive for what seems like ‘too long’? Getting worried? At what point should you make an appointment with your doctor? This scenario can be very upsetting for any couple! What are the signs of infertility?

There are certain CRITICAL symptoms that couples should look out for:
These symptoms are clues to help the doctor make the correct diagnosis to help couples in their situation. The earlier a diagnosis is made, the more opportunity couples have to deal with the issue. As such, doctors advise not to delay seeing a qualified medical expert.

Male infertility
Statistics show that men are equally as likely to have fertility problems as women. Impotency, erection or ejaculation difficulties may be symptoms of other underlying health conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes.

Normal visual appearance of semen
Should semen be ‘thick’ or ‘runny’? Why does it appear ‘watery’ sometimes? Is this one of the signs of infertility? Many men are concerned about what the normal consistency (appearance) of their semen should be, and if this has any relation to their sperm count.

Consistency of semen can vary greatly from one man to another. It is common for this to occasionally vary (either ‘thick’ in texture or sometimes becoming more ‘watery’ in looks) depending on factors such as diet, dehydration, frequency of ejaculation, etc. So, for that reason, there is no defined ‘normal appearance.’ It is normal for semen to liquefy shortly after ejaculation. Semen is usually a semi translucent off white/gray colouring, and can sometimes have a slight yellow tinge.

Experts warn that you cannot tell how fertile you are by just the ‘look’ of your ejaculate alone. Only a sperm analysis can accurately determine a man’s sperm concentration. They say, however, that if a man notices any substantial or persistent changes to his regular semen appearance/colour, he should seek advice from a doctor.

Low sperm count
There are all sorts of factors that can contribute to this sign of infertility. They include alcohol, smoking or drug abuse; poor diet, environmental toxins, wearing tight underwear (bad circulation/heat), constantly sitting with legs crossed, bike riding (cutting off circulation and overheating), hot baths, having had a high fever within the last three months, X-rays and radiation.

Fertility experts recommend lifestyle changes if couples want to get positive result about their fertility issue.

Hormones
Experts warn that men may not realise that they can suffer from hormone imbalances – just as women do – and that when they do, it can be a sign of infertility. They warn, “Symptoms vary, but it is still important to let your doctor know if you notice any of the following signs as they may be clues: unexplained weight gain or loss; loss of muscle tone, headaches; anxiety/depression/mood swings; fatigue, low sex drive, acne/skin problems, breast enlargement, hair loss, puffiness/bloating, prostate enlargement symptoms (urinary problems), gallbladder problems like indigestion, pain under the ribs on the right hand side; light coloured stools, etc.

Infections
Men can contract infections of the reproductive tract through sexual contact, poor immunity, surgery complications and other medical factors. Men are advised to undergo check-ups for any sexually transmitted infections, as these often show no physical signs straight away. Bacterial or viral infections can also affect the sperm count for some time afterwards.

Though these problems are there, the good news is that there are many treatments available with today’s medical knowledge and breakthroughs to help with fertility challenges.

One tested and proved supplement that has been known to help in the treatment of male infertility is Addyzoa, a herbo-mineral whose ingredients are also used in a number of anti-ageing, rejuvenating and virilising formulations. Thus, various studies suggest that the medicinal plants used in the formulation of Addyzoa are potent and novel therapeutic agents for the regulation of pathological conditions that may lead to male infertility.

According to Dr. Ajit Vaze, a consultant urogynaecologist and fertility treatment expert, “The individual constituent herbs in Addyzoa has been extensively studied for their ability to make men produce healthy sperms, while also acting as anti-oxidants.”

He says further, “Addyzoa is effective in improving the semen quality by increasing the sperm count and enhancing sperm motility and morphology. Treatment with Addyzoa resulted in a larger increase in sperm count, while a significant increase of 1.5 to 2 times in motility was also observed with Addyzoa.”

He assures that Addyzoa is a better option for treating male infertility, as it also provides an advantage overUbiquinone (a supplement usually prescribed by doctors) in terms of cost of therapy.

Female infertility
Among women, some of the causative factors for infertility include age. It is not unusual for a woman to delay having a child in modern society, and the reasons range from building a career and financial security, to marrying later in life.

Age
Experts say that for women, fertility declines with age, and this may start in the late 20’s for some people. However, they say, that is not to say that advanced age means that a woman cannot get pregnant, only that a woman’s chances of conceiving lessen with each passing year.

As a woman gets older, she may also have been exposed to several factors that can influence her reproductive system such as poor diet, infections or stress. As such, assisted reproductive techniques are becoming highly sought after by older women.

Abnormal menstrual cycle
This is a common sign of infertility to look out for. There are a number of reasons why women may be having abnormal periods and this does not always mean infertility, but the sooner a problem is addressed, the better. Symptoms may include irregular or absent periods, heavy and/or painful periods, any pelvic pain or discomfort in between menstrual cycles, etc.

Hormonal imbalances
These are also common signs of infertility. There are numerous symptoms that you may not relate to fertility. These may include premenstrual syndrome, weight gain, anxiety and depression/mood swings, headaches, facial hair growth, hair loss, fatigue, low sex drive, breast tenderness/lumpy tissue, nipple discharge, hot flushes, night sweats/insomnia, vaginal dryness, acne, oily skin or redness, puffiness and bloating, gallbladder problems like indigestion, pain under the ribs on the right hand side, light coloured stools, etc.

Infections
These may be causative factors of infertility and need to be diagnosed as soon as possible. There are many reasons for infections, ranging from being sexually-transmitted, a low immune system or complications post-surgery.

Again, like the male fertility issue, solution to female fertility challenge is on hand. During clinical evaluations of M2-Tone, a herbo-mineral supplement indicated in the treatment of female fertility challenge, it was discovered that it could help women in many ways, beginning with providing solutions to all sorts of menstrual problems.

According to Dr. Preeti Dubey, an Associate Professor at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, G.S.V.M. Medical College, Kanpur, M2-Tone is a comprehensive herbal supplement for menstrual disorders, and it is the most trusted and clinically endorsed formulation for Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding and infertility.

He says, “M2-Tone has a potent pro-estrogenic agent which corrects estrogenic insufficiency and improves ovarian functions. The supplement maintains nutritional balance and improves endometrial health; it restores emotional balance by relieving anxiety and tension with its mild tranquilising agents.”

Another physician, Dr. Prasan Bhandari, a Medical Advisor with Charak Pharma Ltd., says “When M2-Tone is taken in conjunction with other detoxifying processes or regular exercises, it may just require about two to three dosages to see good favourable results.

“Many women who have successfully undergone M2-Tone treatment report that their menstrual cycles returned with 45-60-day cycle and step-by-step, they got adjusted to 28-30-day cycle, which is absolutely normal, acceptable and desirable.”

Both Addyzoa and M2-Tone are well tolerated, with little or no side effects recorded during clinical trials. And, like any other drug, doctors warn that you should consult your physician before you embark on any course of treatment.

Addyzoa and M2-Tone are exclusively distributed in Nigeria by
Fidson Healthcare Plc.

Wale Babalakin Turns To Odili’s Judge In Effort To Evade Arrest and Prosecution

Justice Ibrahim Buba
By SaharaReporters, New York
In another dramatic twist, the embattled chairman of Bi-Courtney, Wale Babalakin, who is currently holed up at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) has filed another lawsuit at the Lagos High Court to restrain the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission from arresting or prosecuting him for money laundering.
A federal judge in Lagos last week threw out a similar application after SaharaReporters exposed the deal.  Mr. Babalakin’s original lawyer also withdrew from the case last week.
However, from his hospital bed at LUTH, Mr. Babalakin has repackaged the same lawsuit and the case has been assigned to Justice Ibrahim Buba, the Federal High Court judge who is infamous for granting the perpetual injunction in Port Harcourt that the EFCC has used as an excuse for not prosecuting the former governor of Rivers State, Peter Odili.
Mr. Odili stole several billions of Naira from Rivers State, but he has never been brought to account as the EFCC, under Mrs. Farida Waziri, conveniently claimed it could not prosecute the former governor due to Justice Buba’s ruling.
The judge granted Mr. Babalakin accelerated hearing after the application came before him earlier today.
Mr. Babalakin’s case before justice Buba is scheduled for action on Thursday.

Angry Nigerian woman calls police and says husband is going to blow up plane after pair had a fight

A Nigerian man was grabbed by police at Newark Airport on Saturday after police were tipped off that he planned to 'blow up' a Delta Airlines flight to Paris.

But authorities now believe that the information, that came from the suspect's wife, was a false accusation following nothing more than a domestic dispute.

The New York Post reports that Eunice Ukaegbu, 50, rang police on Okieze Ukaegbu, 58, because the couple had just had a big fight and she didn’t want him to leave the country without her.

Oranyan festival: Ooni is ignorant, says Alaafin

Alaafin-Ooni

IBADAN—The perennial rivalry between the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi and Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade resurfaced weekend as the former described Oba Sijuade  as someone who  is not knowledgeable about his ancestral origin.

The two foremost Yoruba monarchs have been embroiled in crisis over the control of Yorubaland.
The disagreement which had abated after the creation of Osun State, reared its head again recently when Ooni said the Alaafin did not have the rights to celebrate Oranyan, one of the sons of Oduduwa because the deity was not known in Oyo town as claimed by the Alaafin.

Eyewitness Give Graphic Details of How Yakowa's Helicopter Crashed

According to eyewitnesses Account:
The pilots appeared to have sighted a space at the swampy mangrove, few metres to the crash site, and made some efforts to land the ill-fated helicopter. In an unclear circumstance, the helicopter was said to have attempted going up again but in the process, its blades hit one of the palm trees surrounding the area and it came crashing.
Yakowa’s mobile telephone was intact as it kept ringing after the crash. “When we brought the body out, we started hearing sounds of phone ringing from the left side of his pocket. We later discovered that calls were coming to the telephone and it could be from concerned persons but no one answered,” a security source, who pleaded anonymity, said.
Commander Murtala Daba and Lt. Adeyemi Sowole – the Naval pilots – tried in vain to land the helicopter which crashed on Saturday at Okoroba community in Nembe Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

The swampy mangrove filled with tall trees and vegetation is located few kilometers to the Okoroba community, off the Ogbia Nembe waterways.

An eyewitness, who identified himself as Anthony Marcus, told The Punch that a farmer close to the area saw the helicopter as it crashed. Marcus, who led our correspondent to the crash site, said the farmer raised the alarm that attracted other villagers to the area.

“When we got there, there was smoke everywhere. But we saw the legs of Kaduna State Governor. The legs were not burnt and part of his traditional attire was intact. We knew him through his attire. But other bodies were burnt beyond recognition,” he said.

He added, “I was at the burial ceremony when the chopper took off. It didn’t take off normally and it was flying very low.”

It was gathered that some top military officers recovered the black boxes of the helicopter to determine the real cause of the tragedy.

Governor of Kaduna State, Mr. Patrick Yakowa; the former National Security Adviser, Gen. Owoye Azazi, and two of their aides died alongside the two pilots.

I Regret not Praying for My Husband before his Trip ––Yakowa’s Wife

This is Yakowa's last outing....
Amina, widow of the late Patrick Yakowa, amid sobs narrated how her husband left the house on Saturday without the usual ‘prayer of agreement’:
“Everyday, we normally hold our hands to pray before he steps out of the house to the office. But on Saturday, when he told me he was leaving for Bayelsa State. I just bid him farewell and we said we would meet in Abuja for the thanksgiving ceremony of President Goodluck Jonathan’s wife, Patience. I regret that we could not pray as usual. After that he came down and left for Bayelsa.
“We used to wake up every morning to pray. Before yesterday (Saturday), he used to insist that we pray before he would step out of the house for any engagement. On December 23, we would have celebrated our 34th year of marriage but for death.”
She told the congregation at a Church Service organised for the late governor inside the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House that her worst regret was not praying with her late husband.

Recall that Governor Yakowa; ex-National Security Adviser, Gen. Andrew Azazi , and four others died when a Naval Augusta 109 Helicopter in which they were travelling crashed in Nembe-Okoroba in Bayelsa State.

They were returning from the burial of Pa Douglas, the father of an aide to Jonathan, Oronto Douglas.

See How A Lady Implanted Cocaine In Her Breast

It's very sad the extent some ladies go in the quest to make dirty money:
The above picture was released by the Spanish Police on December 12, 2012, showing two bags of breast prostheses filled with cocaine after they were found on a lady who tried to smuggle the banned substance into Spain from Colombia with fresh wounds on her breasts.
Spanish police caught the lady smuggling about 1.3 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside implants in her breasts, officials said Wednesday.

The Panamanian woman was caught at Barcelona airport after getting off a flight from Colombia. She “had two breast implants containing cocaine implanted in her. She had two open cuts under each of her breasts,” the police said.

Officials questioned the lady as part of standard checks carried out on passengers from Colombia — a major source of cocaine. When they searched her, they found bloody dressings on the wounds.

They took her to hospital where doctors removed the implants and tests showed that they contained 1.3 kilograms (three pounds) of cocaine.

The lady, names withheld, will face charges in court.
